1964 Porsche 356C

Currently live on Collecting Cars this Porsche 356C has had an extensive rebuild influenced by period competition 356's.

It is now powered by a modified 2.1-litre flat-four 'Type 1' engine, producing a reported 140hp, driving the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

First registered in 1964, this example was originally delivered to the US and was subsequently re-imported to Germany in 1995, where it is currently registered.

Finished in a unique Porsche Silver Satin Matte, over a bespoke brown leather-trimmed interior with custom trim details.

It rides on a set of 15-inch steel wheels finished
in black, fitted with Fulda Carat Progresso tyres.

Equipment now includes front and rear disc brakes, a custom KW suspension setup with front and rear stabilisers, Speedster seats, a Carrera GT roll bar, a 250 km/h speedometer from a 356 Carrera, oil pressure and temperature gauges, a black headlining, Klippan harnesses, a rear roll cage, a rally trip meter, and a lockable gearstick.

This example features a body modified with a central fuel filler, a custom-made Carrera GT aluminium engine lid with air outlets, Carrera GT bumpers, custom leather bonnet straps, deleted quarter light windows, Plexiglas side windows and quarter light windows with stamps, headlamp grilles, and Speedster door mirrors.
