Outlaw 924

Now, I won't condone gambling, but unless you've been living off world for the last few years, you can't help but notice prize draw competitions popping up everywhere. 

HB Competitions from the people bringing you Hayburner Magazine, for all things aircooled VW, put this up on their site. 

It was on the market not long ago, I was looking for a car and this car went straight on the list. By the time I wanted to view cars on my list, HB had taken ownership.

Introducing our super cool 1979 Porsche 924…. We can honestly say this is our favourite car yet…This is an early 924 featuring cool early parts such as single wing mirror, chrome door handles, window trim, early clocks and more… there’s not many early 924’s about!

This Porsche has been subject to a lot of love and attention, a full bare metal respray in the spectacularly eye catching Porsche Ravenna Green. Aswell as replacement of some panels and about everything that needed replacing, rubbers, trims, seals etc have been done using genuine Porsche parts where possible…It’s had a recent new stainless exhaust and sounds great! It’s also just had a year correct Blaupunkt radio fitted that’s been converted to Bluetooth so you can blast your favourite tunes.

The car has been lowered using Mk1 Golf coil overs and re-indexed torsion bars. It’s been to Type 2 detectives and had some work including a shortened sump for clearance. A god send for static cars.The engine has also been kept on top of, it’s the original 2.0 8v it sounds sweet and pulls very well.

The stance looks bang on, the wheels are built by Damian Force and set it off well with a perfect tyre choice too.

In terms of interior it is all original including the cool houndstooth tombstone seats, these show some wear but still look great.

Let’s not forget the original sunroof which is fully removable for those rare sunny days!

Overall this is one hell of a cool car that’s sure to turn heads, win awards and put a huge smile on your face…"
