1968 London to Sydney Rally

 

Another film from the Roots Archive, and a fascinating insight into a marathon rally in the late 60's.

Can you imagine today, the middle section of a rally taking you fron Ankara to Kabul via Tehran and the Khyber pass as you cross Pakistan into India? The political climate even before the current situation would prevent it. Was the world a better place in 1968? Probably not, although it may have appeared so.
