Nissan 240RS Group B

 

Tokyo Auto Salon auction 2019, and this Nissan 240RS with just 585 recorded kilometers was entered. It failed to sell although post auction, a sale was agreed and it did change hands.

Nissan Heritage Collection - The third generation Silvia S110 was released in 1979 and its sibling the Gazelle were closely connected with motor sports such as Super Silhouette Races and WRC. This is 240RS that was developed from the S110 as Group B rally car to participate in WRC, with just 200 units built. Markets were mainly overseas and many of them were left-hand drive cars. The FJ24 engine (4-valve DOHC, 2340cc) generated 240ps in the standard specs and for the works machines generated as much as 275ps. The best achievement was the second-place finish at Rally New Zealand in 1983.
