The ADRO Special

I don't mind admitting, the appeal of the VSCC cars sits pretty much exclusively with the specials and the pure race cars. Be it the Cyclecars such as the numerous GN based specials, the modified Austin 7's, a Cooper 500 or an ERA for example. Add a JAP V Twin or an aero engine, whole or an offcut and I'm absolutely hooked.
This is current custodian, James Beddoes ADRO Special built by John Anderson. Based on a GN chassis of 1938 vintage and a 1920 JAP V twin, the ADRO Special fits the bill nicely.
These are a few of my photo's from the VSCC Hillclimb at Loton Park on 19th July.

Stefan Marjoram beautiful little sketch of the ADRO special.
